I received an email suggesting Logmein.com. I'd normally ignore something that seemed like spam, but it caught my attention. I kept it in mind and when I had some time at home with my computer, I decided to dig in. Set up was simple. Keep in mind that you need to first use the website at the computer you are looking to find with another computer. So I set up on my home laptop so I can find it on my work desktop computer.
Unfortunately, in order to use it, the computer you want to connect to has to be on (open, if a laptop). So I left my laptop plugged in and open when I left this morning. I logged in at work and was able to find my home computer easily online. The connection was a bit slow, as I expected.
What made me the most excited was that I was able to open Photo Booth on my laptop and see what was going on in my house. I was able to see my dog! So now I am going to set my laptop up in the morning with the purpose of looking for the dog and what she does during the day! :)
